What is Active Isolated Stretching?
The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of Athletic Stretching Technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups, but more importantly, AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.
Series 1 - Neck & Shoulder Series- learn the basic movements to help yourself stretch using only your hands and a chair to relieve neck pain. Learn the basic movements to help yourself release your shoulders using a yoga belt, towel, or a one-on-one teacher assisted stretch. Time - 120 minutes.
Series 2 - Spine Series- learn to stretch the lateral side body and the mid-upper thoracic spine to relieve tightness and compression in your back. Notice the difference in your breath after this session. Time - 90 minutes
Series 3 - Hips & Hamstrings - learn to stretch the hips and hamstrings and relief lower back pain in this session. Learn to target the glutes and piriformis muscle other than pigeon pose in this session. Time - 90 minutes.
Series 4 - Wrists, Fingers, Ankles and Toes - Increase mobility with the often neglected fitness and health of your hands and feet. Time - 90 minutes.
